The contrasting sensibilities of artists Kara Aubin and Daniel Juzwiak converge in hand-crafted jewelry that is at once geometrically structured and rustically elemental. The strong lines of stainless steel meet unrefined organics such as raw diamonds to create elegant jewelry solutions that are equally aware of their aesthetic and ethical responsibilities.
We specialize in hand-worked stainless steel ring designs, including one of a kind engagement and wedding jewelry. We also offer inspired gemstone collections of necklaces, earrings and bracelets, and work with clients to move vintage gemstones and metals into updated pieces that they can live in comfortably and live with ethically.
Daniel is drawn to make jewelry that holds a strong line and accomplishes a technical feat. Using traditional blacksmithing methods, his technician’s hand is evident in every painstakingly hand-forged stainless steel ring and uniquely tension-set gemstone. Technical settings are a hallmark of his work: tension-setting, large-geometric hand-carved prongs and channel settings capture and accentuate raw and faceted diamonds, natural sapphires and other responsibly sourced gemstones.
Kara brings an eye for color, and a penchant for offbeat, asymmetrical designs. As an artist, a dancer by training, Kara ensures that each design moves with you, colors vibrate, and elegance endures. Stainless steel, sterling, gold, raw diamonds, and natural sapphires converge in modern & rustic designs.
We create jewelry with the intention to make a big impact with our ideas, our designs, and our work; while making a responsible impact on our environment and our global community.
Stainless steel is a material made from a high recycled-content, with high recapture rates. Stainless is 100% recyclable. We work with stainless cutoffs that would otherwise be considered industrial scrap.
Where silver and gold are used, metals are obtained from vendors that manufacture metal from recycled content or metal is up-cycled from a client’s existing jewelry.
Raw diamonds are often used for their rustic beauty and contrast with stainless steel. Our raw diamonds are sourced from a Kimberly Process certified vendor. The faceted diamonds we use are non-conflict Canadian diamonds (individually serial numbered for tracing purposes). We offer a selection fair trade gems that are closely tracked from mine to market to ensure that every gem has been handled according to strict protocols.
