I Like Gold, but....
5 brass bricks, 7 x 3 x 2 inches
Money is an ill-fated root that belongs to both weed and tree. It can pierce through the toughest plans and eat away at an entire country just as quickly as it can support an education or a family. The tangled web that money spins has orchestrated catastrophe and caught many people off guard, but it is still hanging inside the sturdy frame of our society. It drives our culture, our learning, our lifestyles, even our ability to exist. Without it, we are nowhere and nothing, but with it, we are finite and futile. This dead-end reality that comes with wealth is something that has both fascinated and haunted me for many years, and some of my thoughts are worked out in this piece.
