Recycled wedding band and photo-degradable plastic, 1.5 x 6 inches
The Memory of You is a comment on the mortality of relationships and the jewelry that embodies them. A dramatic plastic form photo degrades when exposed to light and reveals a crude golden tongue that is un-wearable without its shell. The gold structure is cast from a recycled wedding band; its shape inspired from its prior mutilated body. The memory of the form and the memory of the relationship remain as a physical presence, reminding the wearer that although the relationship ends, the memories persist.
