Being
an organic gardener, I look for effective repurposed containers to decompose
kitchen and yard waste. Aluminum
tea infusers are the perfect miniature vessels for this: they have holes to
allow oxygen necessary for decomposition, lids, and are rustproof.
These infusers
become seed vessels within this mesh pod structure, harboring rich organic
material to create new life. The performance
art culminates by opening the lids to scatter the literal compost tea on the
land.
