"Our
virtues are most often but our vices disguised."
—François duc de la Rochefoucauld, French memoirist and philosopher (1613-1680)
With
every virtue there is its vice. This ring explores how we tend to mask our
vices with our virtuous deeds. One side of the ring was intentionally melted to
symbolize the vices we try to disguise. The other side symbolizes the virtues;
but behind is the mask. Sooner or later, our vices will be revealed and your experiences will allow you to see these imperfections so that you can evolve to another level of growth. By wearing this ring, the wearer is making a conscious choice to work with his/her shadow behind the mask.
