Forget Him Not
assembled neckpiece, human hair, latex tourniquets,
steel wire, 11 x 11 x 1.5 inches
I
begin my work with a personal narrative located in memories that have deeply
penetrated my life. The emotional aftermath of uncontrollable traumatic
circumstances is the main idea that motivates me. My work speaks to the
fragility and vulnerability of the human condition. I create sculpture and body
adornment that relate to the intimate boundaries of the body. Paying close
attention to integrity of materials, I connect concept with design. Through
various fabrication techniques I begin a relationship between materials.
