The
rubber used to make these pieces was collected from the dusty basements of
people who had all but forgotten that it existed. By collecting existing
materials, I was able to help reduce clutter in the lives of those who donated,
and minimize the impact that the creation of my artwork has on the planet. My
dramatic vision, along with a thorough cleaning and polishing, revived,
renewed, and repurposed this forgotten material, and gave it a new life.
