In the context of "composting good and evil," this piece suggests, rather ruefully,  that the viewer reflect and reconsider. The bust is a sketch and not a portrait, and its title derives from the expression it developed as it was being made – to my eyes the look of supercilious, world-weary condescension adopted by aged politicians and those who think they are. Talleyrand comes to mind as I consider what looks back at me.
